Too Extreme?

If you’re reading this you’re probably interested in knowing what a radical feminist is, or you’re lost on the web and found this post… haha I’m just messing with you J

Let me define the word radical to simplify things up, according to study.com it is beliefs that are based on the idea that the main cause of women's oppression originates from social roles and institutional structures being constructed from male supremacy and patriarchy. Patriarchy is defined as group or a family led by men. Extremist are heard to desire to eliminate men, depending on how extreme they are they can literally mean eliminate them off the face of earth. I as a feminist think that this is the #1 reason some men hate feminists. We aren’t all the same.

Feminism means men and women are supposed to be equal, not more. On the other hand, you always have a group of people who pass the red line and modify the whole point of something. I’ve been around some people who I’ve heard talk so poorly about feminists and why it exists, it’s been really hard to not say anything because it was in the middle of a class. That kid was literally going to get hit; if he didn’t shut up and I made sure to let him know what was on my mind.

It’s sad to know that people view a group, subject or other stuff, throughout bad media or irrelevant extremists. It’s not right. We get hate from people who think that we are identical.
I would like to conclude that, this blog is dedicated to my grade 10 english teacher, I’ve learned a lot of this subject and it affected me in my ways. I hope that all you, who have been reading my blog enjoyed it and support feminism.

Thank you for all your time <3

Historical inspiration

There are many ways to inspire people, especially through music and social media.

Lesley Gore is one of the many singers who helped women boost their self-esteem and " played a major factor in the rise of the second wave feminist movement" throughout her singing career.  The song was published in 1963, at the age of 17 years old. women got the opportunity to vote but still had to protest for the same rights as men. In Québec city, women were excluded from the right to politically vote until the year of 1944, which is very disappointing in my opinion because it wasn’t till twenty-three years later that all of Canada considered a women’s political thought important. Which I find pretty late.

The lyrics are so touching in my opinion, when she sings this part in particular “And don’t tell me what to do, don’t tell me what to say” in my perspective this means to let me (as a women) express my opinion and also that I’m free to act the way I want to. I would like to add that a woman doesn’t have to be “calm and perfect” which is what society expects a woman to act like.

There is another part in the song “Don’t tie me down, I will never stay” if I were a woman back then, I would consider that as my “look up too” sentence. This lyric meaning don’t restrict me from doing what I want to do and also I won’t back down and I’ll take every chance I have to get what I want; the link I’m going to be making here is that no matter what sex you are; one isn’t superior then the other.

In conclusion this week’s blog was briefly about a singer whose song was a big hit at the age of 17 years old. She hasn’t only inspired women back in 1963 but I as well in 2016.

Welcome back. :)  I’m very glad that you have returned to read this week’s blog. Last week’s post, simply talked about some more of my thoughts towards feminism with a little support from our new Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who stated that it shouldn’t be a topic that is difficult to speak of in public. You should always be proud of being a Feminist whether you’re of female or male gender.

To some, this week’s topic might seem childish but I’m going to close study the role of my favorite Disney Princesses and the effects that they’ve brought upon me as a child. I will be presenting two types of princesses, first one will be a general, which helped me learn marvelous morals and values, in my opinion, will bring out the best of thoughts from young children and the second, will be a more of a feminist type.

The consecutive paragraph will talk about a princess who made me grow up as a kind person to those who are unfortunately the opposite of kindness…. Her story, unimportant to this week’s subject by reason of she isn’t a feminist, on the other hand, she is a good role model for young viewers. Her example, can directly emphasize good influence on kids, which hopefully in the future, will help them have an open view on gender norms or anything at all, which it did to me.

For example, Cinderella (yes, she is my FAVORITE princess) taught me to always be kind, even to those who don’t treat you nicely.  In her case, the root of the problems was her too annoying, bratty and ignorant step sisters and unquestionably step mom, who treated her as a slave and not the daughter of her husband. In spite of all, she forgave them. However, Cinderella isn’t the best example of a feminist princess, but my point in this current paragraph is simply to explain how it had an impact upon me, as well as exceptional values.

The upcoming passage will be more equivalent to my subject

To begin with, this young Scottish princess named Merida, rebels against gender norms; “a set of rules” that label the manner in which a male or female should behave according to society. In the film Brave, she had parents with traditional ideologies, so they planned an arranged marriage where the groom was chosen based on his archery skills. Merida’s happiness was insignificant to them, but they had the kingdom’s ''best interest at heart''. By her tomboyish ways, she had to prove a point by fighting for what she believed in. There is a scene where there were various men competing for her hand in marriage through a sport (this is disapointing) . Merida’s outlook on this arrangement is that in order to have a perfect life, one must have freedom and happiness. As its shown throughout the movie.

How did she prove “Freedom and happiness” to the whole kingdom you might ask?
Merida shot for her own hand, surprising the people of Dunbroch the city they’re from, she blew one’s mind with her headstrong and persuasive self.
Let’s get something straight ight? :p
Merida has such potential, I would compare her to a firework, because no one knows what might occur. She would do anything at all to get through the gender norms and to make sure that her voice is CLEARLY heard, and her view as a girl princess is understood and considered.

Once again, I thank you for taking the time to read my post, Until next time :)

Just because it's what's done doesn't mean it's what should be done"—Cinderella

Hey guys, I hope you’ve enjoyed my last post about my trip to Lebanon and their different beliefs and ideology on the power of women and their capabilities compared to men, even though something might seem man like a woman shouldn’t be excluded from being able of doing it, such as engineering for example. So that was a small recap of last week’s post. Hope you enjoy this one :)

You guys might not know this, but mostly in the non-developed countries women aren't treated like humans, but most likely “OBJECTS”, those innocent women have feelings, DON'T THEY?? Those individuals have RIGHTS, DO THEY NOT?? So tell me why some countries in this world still won't work on changing that massive issues to the better?? "A girl isn't born to grow up to be a woman, to then get married and to be responsible for having children, manage her household and to traditionally have the status of being" that PERFECT STAY AT HOME WIFE, AND NOT BEING ABLE TO EXPRESS HER THOUGHTS, NOT ONLY A MANS PERSPECTIVE MATTERS, our voices should be FULLY HEARD”

like said in french ***( Une image, vaut mille mots)***  <3
what does this picture mean to you?

I believe that god made us equal from the beginning of time and should ALWAYS REMAIN to the end of time. In Canada our new prime minister Justin Trudeau, said “Not only have his daughter grow up to be a feminist but also making sure his son’s work as well to empower». If I were a man that very sentence would have an effect on me and for sure make me rethink about the importance that a man occurs when it comes to feminism. I’ve said this once in my older post and I’m going to REPEAT IT AGAIN ;)

-----Feminism is simply the equality between both genders---and like Justin Trudeau said once it’s like saying
-----The sky is blue and the grass is green-----
Feminism isn’t supposed to be sexist against men, I encourage you to never be afraid of saying you’re a feminist no matter who you’re talking to and no matter where you are.

I encourage everyone who has read this to share with your family and friends, this is VERY IMPORTANT, we need to make a beautiful change in our world. Everyone should be happy with themselves no matter the gender, race, religion and culture.
*****YOU, EACH AND EVERYONE ONE OF YOU IS STRONG AND UNIQUE, SO PLEASE BE WILLING TO LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINIONS ABOUT ANY MATTER THEY SPEAK OF*** ITS OUR TIME TO CHANGE THE WORLD TO ITS BEST

Here is a video, that I found very interesting, so please take the time to watch and to think to yourself on ways that you can make a difference in your community or your group of friends.
I hope that this issue becomes as simple as saying that “the ocean is enormous”

Our Capability

Welcome ladies and gents! I hope you guys enjoyed reading my last post and I hopefully you guys learned something new about our current society problems.

We are going to travel back in time to the time I went on vacation to Lebanon, I was excited to see and learn different things about my culture and ancestors that I've never heard of before, grievously having to know about discriminatory ideologies on women going to war, playing sports and being active!?!?! something that is very normal in Canada for everyone “the way people talk poorly about you” behind your back for a girl to play a sport or simply running in the alley in our village.

You wouldn’t believe how frustrated I became to come home every day getting complaints from the neighbors about me doing the normal activities I did in back here, in Windsor. The fact that they held that belief so strongly in their heads was delirious. I would ask them why they thought so? And their respond would sound like a bullet through my head “It’s not lady like to run around or play sports, man have more energy and should always stay that way”. well!! "I am sorry that your lazy bum doesn't have the energy" that very moment I wanted someone to put me of my misery ((OMG)). I was super red!

"Billie Jean King (1973 Winner of The Battle of The Sexes (vs Bobby Riggs): In front of 30,492 spectators and a worldwide television audience estimated at 50 million people in 37 countries.)"

The following example is to prove wrong to all misconceptions towards Women Power, the potential and aptitude a woman holds, no matter what she does. Billie Jean king, was a feminist herself “No one ever believed that women’s tennis would garner enough of an audience" to warrant equal prize money to that of the men’s sport"....” She became known for her astounding protest and equalizing not only women’s (in sports, money…and much more) rights but also she was an Advocate for sexual equality. This woman is a big inspiration to me, because she took a step further to bring justice to both sexes and she accomplished that. Guess what she was FEMALE!! HMMM isn’t that WONDERFUL :)

Thank you for your time :

The so called ``PAY GAP``

You’re probably asking what a “Pay Gap” is well, you’re about to figure out something I find madly insane,  the difference between the amount of money paid to a women and her opposite gender, for doing the absolute same job. The sort of task can be as simple as a waitress or waiter or as effortful as a lawyer or surgeon. I’m going to compare this situation to the following that I heard of online and which captured my attention and hopefully yours too," taking a dump on someone’s table”. Would the size of the dump be the issue or the fact that there is currently dump on your belongings? This pile of dump may be 4 inches, 8 inches”----- or simply “2 inches high” that’s almost seems like you haven’t taken a dump at all!!!!”I was being sarcastic there. I hope you got the point.

Moving on, this concern mostly feasts eyes on the United States which according to CNN a website I’ve done some research on, women candidates receive 64% on the dollar a man makes.  This problem isn’t getting any better, not only do they not get paid ¾ of what a man receives but the answer to this Is simply because of women’s choice of having children, this is in line with a  “completely valid reason” to why not pay females equally. It was NEVER a women’s choice to give birth in any circumstances, this was always a natural thing among women. I`m pretty sure that a women going through the hardest most painful time of her life (giving birth) wouldn't do such thing if there was another way around that, but there isn't any other way!!!!!

This following paragraph will be about my personal ideology on how anyone no matter what gender, color, race, religion and their appearances should be paid. I cannot stand the tiniest comparison made in this problem, consider you have two nice Hollister sweaters, they are absolutely the same size, color and design, this sweater is unisex but on the guys section its 40% cheaper!!!!!!! WHY is that you may ask yourself? Is it because one is made for a male and the other for a female, is this deal sexist against a female or should be totally ignored???

Or even look at it this way, I heard this during a TV show called “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” where a study at a university, the professors were given two resumes identical one to the other except for the names of those who are applying for the same job, in this case you have “Andrew and Andria “you might be surprised but the male was classified more preferable more than the female. Like John Oliver mentioned women should change their names, in this case to Andrew if that’s going to get them a job more easily. This situations is a completely ignorant to all women, females are as smart as males, something that completely shocked me was the fact that both resumes were identical excluding the name, honestly ((SMH))  ----- smack my head!!!!!!!!

I would like to conclude that no matter what the gender you are, it doesn’t define the amount of money you earn, if two people with the same level of education and even experiences work for the equivalent number of hours, both of their paychecks should be identical, dollar by dollar and cent by cent.

I hope my message went through, thank you for your time and if you guys ever have any thoughts or comments about my post let me know at http://feminismvision.blogspot.ca/.

 Feminism

To start off, do you believe in Sexism or is it feminism that you support? In general “Feminism” also known as “Feminist Movement, Women’s Lib and the Women’s Movement", it is that a Women should be treated as equally as men in all social affairs, whether it’s a political law established or either any minor act in civilization.

“The first Women's Conference in Seneca Falls, United states of America, in 1848”, was one of the first Women’s Movement organisation, to "gain equal opportunities among both genders", involving the following consecutive problems such as , access high level of education, equal salary between both genders , divorce and plenty more inadequate acts.

I once watched a movie in Cineplex at the Devonshire mall called Suffragette, meaning “a woman seeking the right to vote through organized protest”. A suffragette is a group of women in the nineteenth and twentieth century who were British, known as "WSPU (Women’s Social and Political Unions) whose principal leaders were Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst.  The movie unveiled" some pretty courageous acts of women protesting against sexism, one of my favorite scenes was the part where a group of unknown women, break windows of working shops made just for men yelling “Women’s should have the same right!!!” or something much like that. They could have been executed, but they were fearlessness to the consequences and faced all possible danger, to earn the same rights as men did.

We must raise both the ceiling and the floor.”
― Sheryl Sandberg

In their shoes, I would have been furious about such inequality present in that time. You don't have to play masculine to be a strong woman. This quote written by Mary Elizabeth Winsted, in my opinion, is just another reason to stand tall and face any racism or prejudicial sayings about women, think about all those stereotypes out there in our everyday lives.  The following stereotype to me feels like a knife stabbed through my heart “Women don’t need to go to college”, my question to those people is why not?

Learning is for everyone who wants to be independent and do something they love in their lives. In conclusion, why should I depend on my husband's or father's skills and brain when I, female women, have my own intelligence and proficiency?
