Our Capability

Welcome ladies and gents! I hope you guys enjoyed reading my last post and I hopefully you guys learned something new about our current society problems.

We are going to travel back in time to the time I went on vacation to Lebanon, I was excited to see and learn different things about my culture and ancestors that I've never heard of before, grievously having to know about discriminatory ideologies on women going to war, playing sports and being active!?!?! something that is very normal in Canada for everyone “the way people talk poorly about you” behind your back for a girl to play a sport or simply running in the alley in our village.

You wouldn’t believe how frustrated I became to come home every day getting complaints from the neighbors about me doing the normal activities I did in back here, in Windsor. The fact that they held that belief so strongly in their heads was delirious. I would ask them why they thought so? And their respond would sound like a bullet through my head “It’s not lady like to run around or play sports, man have more energy and should always stay that way”. well!! "I am sorry that your lazy bum doesn't have the energy" that very moment I wanted someone to put me of my misery ((OMG)). I was super red!

"Billie Jean King (1973 Winner of The Battle of The Sexes (vs Bobby Riggs): In front of 30,492 spectators and a worldwide television audience estimated at 50 million people in 37 countries.)"

The following example is to prove wrong to all misconceptions towards Women Power, the potential and aptitude a woman holds, no matter what she does. Billie Jean king, was a feminist herself “No one ever believed that women’s tennis would garner enough of an audience" to warrant equal prize money to that of the men’s sport"....” She became known for her astounding protest and equalizing not only women’s (in sports, money…and much more) rights but also she was an Advocate for sexual equality. This woman is a big inspiration to me, because she took a step further to bring justice to both sexes and she accomplished that. Guess what she was FEMALE!! HMMM isn’t that WONDERFUL :)

Thank you for your time :

The so called ``PAY GAP``

You’re probably asking what a “Pay Gap” is well, you’re about to figure out something I find madly insane,  the difference between the amount of money paid to a women and her opposite gender, for doing the absolute same job. The sort of task can be as simple as a waitress or waiter or as effortful as a lawyer or surgeon. I’m going to compare this situation to the following that I heard of online and which captured my attention and hopefully yours too," taking a dump on someone’s table”. Would the size of the dump be the issue or the fact that there is currently dump on your belongings? This pile of dump may be 4 inches, 8 inches”----- or simply “2 inches high” that’s almost seems like you haven’t taken a dump at all!!!!”I was being sarcastic there. I hope you got the point.

Moving on, this concern mostly feasts eyes on the United States which according to CNN a website I’ve done some research on, women candidates receive 64% on the dollar a man makes.  This problem isn’t getting any better, not only do they not get paid ¾ of what a man receives but the answer to this Is simply because of women’s choice of having children, this is in line with a  “completely valid reason” to why not pay females equally. It was NEVER a women’s choice to give birth in any circumstances, this was always a natural thing among women. I`m pretty sure that a women going through the hardest most painful time of her life (giving birth) wouldn't do such thing if there was another way around that, but there isn't any other way!!!!!

This following paragraph will be about my personal ideology on how anyone no matter what gender, color, race, religion and their appearances should be paid. I cannot stand the tiniest comparison made in this problem, consider you have two nice Hollister sweaters, they are absolutely the same size, color and design, this sweater is unisex but on the guys section its 40% cheaper!!!!!!! WHY is that you may ask yourself? Is it because one is made for a male and the other for a female, is this deal sexist against a female or should be totally ignored???

Or even look at it this way, I heard this during a TV show called “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” where a study at a university, the professors were given two resumes identical one to the other except for the names of those who are applying for the same job, in this case you have “Andrew and Andria “you might be surprised but the male was classified more preferable more than the female. Like John Oliver mentioned women should change their names, in this case to Andrew if that’s going to get them a job more easily. This situations is a completely ignorant to all women, females are as smart as males, something that completely shocked me was the fact that both resumes were identical excluding the name, honestly ((SMH))  ----- smack my head!!!!!!!!

I would like to conclude that no matter what the gender you are, it doesn’t define the amount of money you earn, if two people with the same level of education and even experiences work for the equivalent number of hours, both of their paychecks should be identical, dollar by dollar and cent by cent.

I hope my message went through, thank you for your time and if you guys ever have any thoughts or comments about my post let me know at http://feminismvision.blogspot.ca/.

 Feminism

To start off, do you believe in Sexism or is it feminism that you support? In general “Feminism” also known as “Feminist Movement, Women’s Lib and the Women’s Movement", it is that a Women should be treated as equally as men in all social affairs, whether it’s a political law established or either any minor act in civilization.

“The first Women's Conference in Seneca Falls, United states of America, in 1848”, was one of the first Women’s Movement organisation, to "gain equal opportunities among both genders", involving the following consecutive problems such as , access high level of education, equal salary between both genders , divorce and plenty more inadequate acts.

I once watched a movie in Cineplex at the Devonshire mall called Suffragette, meaning “a woman seeking the right to vote through organized protest”. A suffragette is a group of women in the nineteenth and twentieth century who were British, known as "WSPU (Women’s Social and Political Unions) whose principal leaders were Emmeline and Christabel Pankhurst.  The movie unveiled" some pretty courageous acts of women protesting against sexism, one of my favorite scenes was the part where a group of unknown women, break windows of working shops made just for men yelling “Women’s should have the same right!!!” or something much like that. They could have been executed, but they were fearlessness to the consequences and faced all possible danger, to earn the same rights as men did.

We must raise both the ceiling and the floor.”
― Sheryl Sandberg

In their shoes, I would have been furious about such inequality present in that time. You don't have to play masculine to be a strong woman. This quote written by Mary Elizabeth Winsted, in my opinion, is just another reason to stand tall and face any racism or prejudicial sayings about women, think about all those stereotypes out there in our everyday lives.  The following stereotype to me feels like a knife stabbed through my heart “Women don’t need to go to college”, my question to those people is why not?

Learning is for everyone who wants to be independent and do something they love in their lives. In conclusion, why should I depend on my husband's or father's skills and brain when I, female women, have my own intelligence and proficiency?
