Our Capability
Welcome ladies and gents! I hope you guys enjoyed reading my last post and I hopefully you guys learned something new about our current society problems.
We are going to travel back in time to the time I went on vacation to Lebanon, I was excited to see and learn different things about my culture and ancestors that I've never heard of before, grievously having to know about discriminatory ideologies on women going to war, playing sports and being active!?!?! something that is very normal in Canada for everyone “the way people talk poorly about you” behind your back for a girl to play a sport or simply running in the alley in our village.
You wouldn’t believe how frustrated I became to come home every day getting complaints from the neighbors about me doing the normal activities I did in back here, in Windsor. The fact that they held that belief so strongly in their heads was delirious. I would ask them why they thought so? And their respond would sound like a bullet through my head “It’s not lady like to run around or play sports, man have more energy and should always stay that way”. well!! "I am sorry that your lazy bum doesn't have the energy" that very moment I wanted someone to put me of my misery ((OMG)). I was super red!

Hey Emily, I really like your choice of topic. I love how you included your personal stories and thoughts. I also like your choice of pictures, they are what mostly catch my attention. I am very interested in Billie's story, this really inspires me, and I do agree with you that she took a step further in justice for both sexes, and made sure her voice was heard. I look forward to reading your next posts!
